Welcome to the Irish Association of Chemicals & Ingredients Website.

IACI represents Ireland’s chemical supply chain from distributors, traders as well as logistics and warehousing.

Our Association plays a vital part of the Supply Chain of chemical materials and ingredients to Ireland’s manufacturing industry. Through our membership of the European Association for Distributors (FECC) our voice is heard internationally.

We can provide key information to maintain your business in compliance with the evolving regulatory and legislative framework.

We support and promote the 8 guiding principles of Responsible Care for continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environmental Performance, striving towards Sustainability.

 

IACI are members of Fecc the voice of the Chemical Distribution Industry in Europe. With a growing membership of companies and national associations, Fecc represents around 1,600 companies of which many are small and medium sized companies (SMEs). Fecc and its members contribute to innovation and sustainability besides adding value in the supply chain, by sourcing, developing, marketing, and distributing a wide range of specialty chemicals and ingredients to over one million downstream users ranging from automotive, electronics, paint, construction to pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and nutrition industries, each with their own specialised needs. The Chemical distribution industry in Europe employs more than 30,000 people and has an annual sales leverage of approximately €28 billion.
IACI are members of ICTA was established in 2016 to represent the interests of over 1300 chemical distributors world-wide. Today ICTA national association members have an aggregate direct turnover in excess of 55 billion euros and employ more than 70.000 employees. ICTA fills the need of a world-wide chemical association coordinating work on issues and programmes of international interest to the global chemical trade industry. ICTA provides a platform where chemical distributors can meet and exchange information and best practices. ICTA also advocates for its members on a global scale. Among the members of ICTA are formulators, wholesalers, distributors, resellers, importers, exporters, producer commissioners, sales offices of the chemical industry and logistics service providers.
